Add 1 tsp (4 ml) of Star San or Iodophor sanitizer to 16 oz of water. Sanitizer will last up to 1 week before it is ineffective.

Finally, a Spray Bottle that Works and Lasts!

Spray bottles are essential for applying Star-San. Over the years I have thrown away numerous "Dollar-Store" spray bottles that have worked OK on first use, only to fail miserably withing a few weeks. By contrast, the mechanism in these bottles is sturdy and reliable. For the past 3 months, I have used one of these bottles daily to spray water on germinating seedlings in my greenhouse. It has always worked first time without need for priming, is comfortable to hold, and has retained the same spray pattern and volume. Buy several of these for all your household spray applications!

I use the bottle to spray down wide areas with star san so I can disinfect everything in a minute. I spray implements like spoons and plates and out side surfaces of yeast packages. There are many uses.
