Best option mix with Muntons IPA.. Gives very nice flavor..
It tastes good, maybe better than the Briess extracts. I like the caramel flavor better. Even if I make an all grain batch, I will sometimes prime with dry malt extract instead of sugar.
I added this and a bag of light dme to my apple beer aka graff...it gave it a nice flavor. I will be buying more in my next order!
i use this in my darker English beers or to boost ABV. Good color and flavor.
The Muntons DME tastes a little different and better than the Briess DME. I tried both in a side by side experiment and prefered the Muntons. Maybe it's how they mashed it, or there is a difference in what was added, but somehow the Muntons is better. Try your next beer with it and see.
