This complex, bold wine displays classic Cabernet structure. It’s full-bodied and powerful, but never jammy or soft, like some Australian Cabs. Vanilla accents gorgeous cassis fruit and an appealing aroma of plump blackberries, sweet vanilla and fresh violets with subtle notes of cherries and pepper spice and a tremendous backing of tannin and structure that will last both on the palate and in the cellar.
With the fruit and the oomph to stand up to bold flavours, pair this wine with braised short ribs, grilled Portobello mushrooms, or an herb-crusted butterfly leg of lamb.

I found Midwest supplies a year ago and bought maybe two dozen kits and they are all good thus far Thank You I'm doing this 23 years
I’ve made this 3 times & think it the best Cabernet wine kit available. It is even better with premier rouge yeast and bottle aged 18 months.
I just finished with fermentation. The wine is now resting for the recommended 42 days. I tried it before it went into the carboy and am already impressed. I can’t wait to bottle this and let it age. It can only get better.
After 11 months it is as described. I have shared a couple of bottles with family and they want more. It is my first born, and I can't let them leave the house. Can't wait until Christmas to open another bottle.
