Our wine kit came promptly and was easy to make. We haven't bottled it yet but are looking forward to.
After starting kit and disposing box, I noticed the bottom of bag and the inside of box was covered in black mold. Upon closer inspection of box, I could see evidence that either the box had leaked or something had leaked on the box. Concerned at first, but wine seems to be fermenting fine.
I finally bottled this Pinto Grigio wine and my wife loves it. I'm not a big white wine drinker, so I made it for her. She was amazed at how clear and crisp it is. It's truly a high end wine. The wine has a little bit of a "stained" color which I assume is from the oak chips, but it's very clear nonetheless. We aged it in the glass carboy for about 4 months and now will continue to age it in the bottle after it was filtered and bottled. I expect this will only get better in 6 months. I recommend this wine! Please be aware you need the 6.5 gallon fermenter for this wine due to the grapes. I wish it came with it's own grape bag, The cheesecloth I purchased wasn't quite large enough and a few came out during fermentation. It all worked out in the end though. I'm happy.
Even at quite cool temperature, fermentation was even and complete. The finished wine light fruity taste and a crisp finish.
