Product Details

Keep your wine fresh for up to 9 months with these all-natural wine corks. These wine corks are among the best we’ve seen and are a favorite with our homebrewing and winemaking customers, allowing a favorite vintage to age in the wine bottle for up to 9 months. High-quality chamfered (beveled) corks will work on all of our 750ml bottles.

  • Dense, well-made closures
  • #8 cork features a slightly smaller diameter than #9
  • Great for using with plastic plunger-type corker
  • For use with 750ml bottles

We carry a large selection of Wine Corks, screw caps, stoppers, and closures so you can seal your wine bottles any way you choose. Which cork should you use? While the answer can seem complicated, it comes down to this simple question: How long you want to age your wine? For short term wine aging (3-6 months) a #7 cork will work well. For medium term wine aging (up to 9 months) a #8 cork will do the trick. If you are trying to build a large and diverse wine cellar, we suggest using #9 corks. This will allow for long term aging (9 months or more). Please note that using a #9 cork will require the use of a compression corker.

We recommend making an investment in one of our floor corker options. While they are a little more expensive, they pay huge dividends in time saved and ease of use on bottling day.

Best corks

I have tried a few different kinds of corks. Similar to another review comment I made the mistake of using a batch from Amazon. They crumbled on removal. It cost me time, made my wine look cheap, and then a few cases we had to push the cork down into the bottle to finish opening it rendering the bottle non-recyclable. These corks held together better than any others.

Good corks

I made the mistake once of buying corks from Amazon and bottled three batches of wine one day before discovering that they fell apart when trying to pull them. What a mess! Stick with corks you trust. I trust these.
