Corn sugar and table sugar (sucrose) are cheap fermentable sugars that product alcohol without leaving the cloying residual sweetness of malt extract. Adding a small amount (no more than 10% of total fermentables) will increase alcohol content with minimal impact on taste. Their use in quantities of 30-40% will produce a beer with a considerably lighter body than one brewed stickily with malt sugars (think American light lagers). Any canned kits, and the body of the beer they produce, can be improved upon greatly by substituting the corn sugar with malt extract, either dried or liquid. Size: 1 lb.

Bottling Beer: Use 3/4 cup of corn sugar (priming sugar).

Mini Keg: Use 1/3 cup of corn sugar (priming sugar).

Good Bottling sugar
4 ounces for 5 gallons does the job for me. Give the bottles a couple of weeks to carbonate and they are ready.

Carbonate your beer without a cider taste
Corn sugar has a cleaner and purer taste than table sugar. Its also handy in case you want to boost the alcohol level in beer or cider.

Great for bottle Carbing Beer
I like to use this rather than tablets, seems to give a more even carbonation. Plus I can add more ore less to get more or less carbonation. Control is king.

great for priming
I use this sugar to prime my beer bottles, and I love to use it for making hard lemonade. I also use it for making hard tea, it doesn't impact the taste and its great to boost up the alcohol content.

Hard Cider and Fruit wine
I use 2-3 pounds for my hard ciders and fruit wines. It adds the alcohol and thins out the wine without adding an off flavor like table sugar does.

Add CO2 to your Beer
Using this sugar you can bottle condition your beer, or add some to a keg to naturally carb it.
