4.7 / 5.07 ReviewsI like both!I like brewing extract and all grain. They both produce great beers. The Maillard malt i have found to be a nice fresh product. The cost and simplicity of using the product weigh heavy on why I use it. Some people put down extract brewing but I have won three major awards using extract and like I say the finished product is pretty good.March 15, 2018Purchased
8 months agoThe square bottle is usefulTheir extracts come in a bottle shape that is very useful for filling with water subsequently for use in coolers and maximizing the ice bath around my wort!I loathe Big Beer, but this was a good deal, and it boosted the ABV of a my Chocolate Coconut beer!March 3, 2018Purchased
8 months agoGreat ExractI am a beginner brewery and have used this twice. My beer has come out beautifully both times. All friends that make beer agree.January 14, 2017Purchased
1 year agoBold, distinctive and flavorfulEasy to work with. With roasted grains added, then it becomes a world class brew.March 16, 2016Delicious StoutJust transferred to secondary. Had a taste and it was delicious. Hit my f.g. spot on.January 1, 2016Dark Malt DeliversI used 6#s Dark Malt with 1 # roasted barley to make a nice Porter. My friends and I are enjoying it currently. Just a note for home brewers. I want to thank Maillard's Malts for making this fine malt available in the "6 pounder" and thank Midwest supplies for selling this malt at a significant savings. It used to cost me $45 in ingredients for 5 gallons of what my friends refer to as that "killer porter," now it is $23 for 5gal.June 12, 2014
