7 months agoSmoothest turning spigot out there!I have 3 different brands of spigots like this on various fermenters and buckets. This brand is, by far, the smoothest turning of the 3. It may not seem like much of a feature, but the others are tight enough that they torque the sides of the vessel or cause the vessel to shift in place when turning. While I prefer the type that rotate in place to avoid contact with the table/floor, these are the best I've seen of this style spigot.June 21, 2018Great productLove it, added to 6.5 gal brew bucket. No leaks. Did a practice drill in an old 5 gal paint bucket to pick drill bit and technique before doing the brew bucket. I mounted it so the bottom of the spigot was just above the bottom so it would't touch bench. Made bottling easy. Note that the supplied gaskets have a smooth side and ribbed side. I put smooth side against bucket. No instructions.November 24, 2017Purchased

Browse 3 questions Browse 3 questions and 5 answersWill this fit a Big Mouth Bubbler 6.5g predrilled fermentor? I need to replace the spigots but can't find them sold separately. What size are the threads? I usd the othe spigot with 3/4" threads and a pvc elbow as a dip tube. These threads are a different size.BEST ANSWER: The diameter of the threads on the spigot I have is approx. 0.950" and the thread pitch measures to be 10 tpi. Much unlike a 3/4" NPT which is nominal diameter of 1.050" and has 14 tpi (threads per inch). I used mine in a 1" hole with the included washer on either side and the nut on the inside. It doesn't seem to be compatible with common plumbing sizes. Hope this helps. The gasket has changed. It used to come with two flat gaskets, now it comes with a single gasket with a tapered fit. What is the proper way to position the gasket? (Does the tapered end seat against the bucket or the nut)BEST ANSWER: Thats how I installed it and it worked fine. I tried it like that and filled it with water to make sure it didn't leak. I also used a flat washer on the outside too.
