It’s incredible what oak does to the mead that I make. With the different flavors I create, oaking each one is something I’m looking into. Love it.

Have not tasted the wine I treated with the French Oak Spirals. As far as the use of the spirals on problems. I am starting another wine kit with another set of French Oak (Medium) Spirals. I usually let my wine lay for 2 yrs. I may get tempted early.

I love using these French oak medium spirals to enhance the flavor of my red wine kits. Even the kits that come with oak these are much more flavorful and completely worth the small cost

Can't wait

I've wanted to try French oak when making my wine and this seems to be a cheep way rather than buying a barrel. Its small enough to fit in a carboy which is handy. I'll have to wait until the second fermentation is done to see (taste) the difference. Can't wait.
