4.7 / 5.024 ReviewsEasy brew, good tasteVery easy brew. Tasted a bite lighter than expected, but very good overall.December 26, 2015No infectionsI alternate this with Star San, just to make sure I kill everything. It doesn't foam like Star San and it won't stain if you diluete it according to the "no rinse" directions.April 2, 2014Kills everythingI make a 1 gallon solution and clean everything, not just my better bottles and buckets. Just fill and shake and pour out. 2 minutes later it's ready to use. I use both this and Star San, just to alternate in case there is something that one doesn't kill, the other one will.February 19, 2014Works wellIf you make it right it wont stain. Use three mili-liters per gallon. I use a dropper to get that little amount and mix it up, and use it that day, then spill it out. I give it 2 minutes contact time, then empty with no rinsing.December 20, 2013Mix it correctlyI got a dropper and add 3 ml to 1 gallon to get a good sanitizer that I discard after using. At that dilution it doesn't stain, and it sanitizes with a minute of contact._x000D_It can work with hard water, which affects star san.November 8, 2013Good sanitizerIf you mix it correctly it wont stain your equipment. But if you use too much, which is easy because all you need is 1/10 of an ounce which is hard to measure, it will stain. Its an economical and effective sanitizer.October 21, 2013Good change of paceI like to use Iodine sometimes, to kill off things that Star San doesn't. I've had success killing mold and stray yeast with it. If you measure properly (it takes a very small amount) it wont stain and doesn't require rinsing.October 8, 2013Great SanitizerI have used a few products to sanitize and have found the IO Star to be the best. Some sanitizers you have to worry about it foaming if you work too fast. This doesn't foam and only needs a one minute contact time. Great product and I recommend it to all my fellow brewers.September 29, 2013Still prefer StarSanI tried this and StarSan and while both seem to work (no infections either way), I prefer Star San because of the IO Star staining issue. This is less expensive so it does have its advantages.September 13, 2013Can stainIO star works well but if you aren't careful it can stain. So I've gone back to using Star San and PBW. I still use the IO star on occasion and it works well.July 26, 2013
