Browse 2 questions Browse 2 questions and 4 answersIf I create a grain bill for a recipe, how can I be sure that it has enough diastatic power for a proper conversion when all the ingredients you carry list the diastatic power as 0?BEST ANSWER: Sorry if this is currently not updated. Most recipes are going to call for 60-75% base malt and they are all fully converted these days - which means a standard recipe will have sufficient enzyme power. So while it is a good thing to check, as long as you are crafting 'standard' recipes it should not prove an issue.I have a recipe that calls for "Pale 2 Row - US"....is this the same?BEST ANSWER: Yup this is the standard base for most ales and is the same.
