Takes the work out of mashing

This thing takes to work out of mashing corn or barley. With the false bottom, I just let it all drain out without having to squeeze the liquid out using other means. No problem at all with scorching either. Highly recommend.

30 gallon MegPot review - AWESOME!

The MegaPot is awesome! It heats up quickly and efficiently. I recommend opting for the spigot and thermometer as add ons, as it just makes the whole process easier with a pot this big. I also bought the 140,000 BTU burner for use with this pot. Go Big or Go Home!

30 Gallon Megapot 1.2.....ROCKS

Absolutely love my new Megapot 1.2. Have brewed two different (BIAB) 15 gallon batches in it. Looks great, and functions even better. Very happy with my decision to buy this pot.

It's OK

Good quality pot, handles are well insulated and well constructed.

Much room for improvement.

1. the false bottom connects to the valve with a tube. Tubes are flexible, if to provide too much agitation the bottom will raise up and grains will get under it defeating the purpose. You also have to be super careful not to stir the tube off the false bottom. Not really good
2. the valve, inside thread is not a standard size you can easily purchase adapters for and the gaskets for the valve can squish and leak if you tighten it enough so the valve is secure. Also not fantastic.
3. Didn't ship with the correct adapter for the valve to false bottom. Resulting in almost 2 week delay in being able to use it.

Thanks for the review. And thanks for the feedback on the Megapot system. We use the feedback to help us make changes and better design our products. I use the same system and find that mashing requires a little care to keep that screen from moving up down/side to side. I find being mindful of where the tubing is helps with issues during mashing in. If this becomes too much of an issue give us a call and we can share some other techniques that might help. Also sorry about that isoflow barbed fitting not being included. We have found with the many ways of outfitting a kettle not everyone wants the same connector system. Any other issues feel free to reach out.
