This complex, bold wine displays classic Cabernet structure. It’s full-bodied and powerful, but never jammy or soft, like some Australian Cabs. Vanilla accents gorgeous cassis fruit and an appealing aroma of plump blackberries, sweet vanilla, and fresh violets with subtle notes of cherries and pepper spice and a tremendous backing of tannin and structure that will last both on the palate and in the cellar.
With the fruit and the oomph to stand up to bold flavors, pair this wine with braised short ribs, grilled Portobello mushrooms, or an herb-crusted butterfly leg of lamb.

Everything arrived in good shape. It seem a excellent kit but it is It is not bottled yet. I will update it as soon as i get a taste.
I can’t afford to buy this caliber of wine without making it myself. Thank you Midwest for making it available!
my husband and I have been making this brand of wine for about 10 year's now I am very disappointed to say the that the company cut back by 1 gal of juice concentrate now it takes 3 gal's of water to make up the 6 gal plus more to top off after each racking and filtering we just made 3 kits today so see how they taste I am betting watered down but we will see they where very bold and delicious before we could top off with wine but then we truly are not getting 30 bottles because you lose 1 to 2 bottles from another batch
I was about to give up on the Cabernet kits, but this one was top notch. I filtered after 55 days in the carboy, but even before filtering it was great. Just bottled today.
