Needed to try something else after I made a batch of the Weekday Cab . This takes a little longer to make but worth it. Finally tried some tonight after I bottled 2 weeks ago. More aging would help. But very drinkable as is. Good value.
Love this kit...ended up with a great full bodied red. Just the right amount of spice, oak and ripe cherry/currant flavors to allow it to be paired with a variety of meals. Was quite drinkable right at bottling and after only 2 weeks it tasted like it had been aging for 6 months. Worth the extra money!
One thing I want to mention- sometimes the delivery carriers are rough with the boxes, so this was my second one that was leaking out of the box when I got it. We have extra food grade buckets with lids for this reason. Point being- check your boxes if you don't want a sticky mess on the floor! And maybe keep a clean bucket around just in case.
Midwest choices on products they offer give reason to trust them with quality kits. I would purchase the Cab-Sauv kit again
