Warm southern sun and rich red soils produce this classic Aussie Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet, the 'King of Red Grapes' gives blackcurrants, blackberry, dark cherry raspberry, and chocolate. Grape Skins and toasted oak add firm, structured tannins and hints of coffee and vanilla for a long, satisfying finish that will improve with age. Pair with roast lamb, grilled rib-eye, or any rich red meat dishes.

Both kits are in secondary fermation and smell great. I am in the process of making a 2 gallon rose from the skins from the two kits and 6 lbs of honey
So I hesitated to purchase this kit since the juice amount was reduced from prior kits. But this kit surpassed my expectations. The color is rich and this is a full bodied red. I recommend giving it a try. Pay close attention to the instructions because some of the kits contain the wrong instructions and CRU is aware of this. For example, step 11 says to proceed to secondary fermentation but there is no secondary fermentation for this kit as it does not need it. I currently have my wine in a 5 gallon carboy for extended aging and it has settled very nicely.
Needed to try something else after I made a batch of the Weekday Cab . This takes a little longer to make but worth it. Finally tried some tonight after I bottled 2 weeks ago. More aging would help. But very drinkable as is. Good value.
Love this kit...ended up with a great full bodied red. Just the right amount of spice, oak and ripe cherry/currant flavors to allow it to be paired with a variety of meals. Was quite drinkable right at bottling and after only 2 weeks it tasted like it had been aging for 6 months. Worth the extra money!
One thing I want to mention- sometimes the delivery carriers are rough with the boxes, so this was my second one that was leaking out of the box when I got it. We have extra food grade buckets with lids for this reason. Point being- check your boxes if you don't want a sticky mess on the floor! And maybe keep a clean bucket around just in case.
