Product Details

The Beermaking pH Paper has a pH range from 4.6-6.2. These papers make it easy to test your water's pH balance to be able to make adjustments as needed. Dip a test strip in your water, and in less than 5 seconds you will get your reading. A color chart that comes with the strips will tell you the pH level of your water. The ideal pH for most beers is 5.2. A less accurate but more economical way to test the pH of your mash than the pH pen. 100 strips per vial.

Wouldn’t buy again

I followed the instructions and nothing happened. The strip never changed colors. Lesson learned. I ended up investing into a digital pH tester.

Easy and cheap

The strips are good if you use them right.. Dip it in a sample, let it sit for a while, then read the color. Very easy and cheaper than a pH meter.

Easy to use, quick results

I see no reason to get a pH meter while having these strips handy._x000D_They give fast results without having to do anything._x000D_They might not be as accurarte as a meter but they seem ok.

I used these when first starting out. They are off by a few tenths of a pH, so ultimately I stopped using them. They gave me a rough estimate when I started out, before I decided to get a pH meter.
