Master Vintner® Cabernet Sauvignon makes six gallons of medium-bodied wine with moderate tannins, featuring savory notes of dark, dried fruit behind aromas of ripe plum and vanilla. Wonderfully complex flavors of currants, blackberry and chocolate burst from this crowd-pleasing wine.
Master Vintner® Cabernet Sauvignon gains depth and complexity with aging, developing an aroma of peppery-spice that melts into flavors of smoked cedar, coffee and tobacco.

Way too early to tell. Ping me again in about six months...
Followed the instructions to the T and it came out great. Made it with a 7.9g FastFerment. I think the clarifiers that come with the kit are just okay. Next time I'm going to skip those and try Sparkolloid, which made my last batch so clear it practically glowed. Clarity notwithstanding, it's a great tasting wine. I'm a relatively new winemaker and took some to a party that had been under cork for less than a month. People loved it (enough to overindulge)... If you're not ready to drop $180 on the higher end kits then this is definitely a good first kit to go with. Cabernets are always a crowd pleaser, and if I can keep from draining bottles I'll maybe be able to comment on their taste after a year. Cheers!
The kit was easy to follow. The wine was delicious. My wife is not a big fan of reds, thought is was good.
As for the quality of the juice, I give this a solid 5 stars. Cabernet isn’t my favorite red so I can’t gush and rave about the final product and especially since it’s still less than six months old, but a few of my friends who are big fans of Cabs also tasted it at the 3-month timepoint (as it was being bottled) and we’re all in agreement that it will be a very nice wine at the 12-month timepoint.
I think its the best wine Ive ever made.
