Works great!

I used this today and got what was probably the cleanest wort I've ever made. Way better than the infuser balls, which sometimes pop open and always get in the way of the immersion chiller. A gentle scrape on one side permits full drainage when removing. The majority of the sediment will clump together and can be tapped out right away. Soaking it at an angle causes the remaining bits to settle in one place and can again be tapped out. A kitchen sink sprayer with hot water gets out the remaining flecks. Good job on this product, Midwest!

Hop Spider Success

Adding Hop spiders to my brewing has made hopping a breeze. The hop spider allows you to add hops at your brewing cycle by just adding into the spider. When the wort is complete, pull it out, set it to the side while you cool the wort down for transfer to a fermenter. Once the transfer is completed, the spider becomes part of your standard clean up.

Worked great

I bought this and the cloth filter that goes inside it to filter the sludge from pellet hops additions to my boil kettle because they were clogging up my exit spigot and therminator counter flow plate chiller. It worked great. There are some concerns that it will reduce hops utilization so I just added a handful more than called for. I recommend it!

Excellent hop spider!

This is a great addition to my brew kettle! I am able to add not only my hops in the later stages of the wort boil, but I also use this excellent tool to boil the crushed grains in.to get things started. The fine mesh allows me to keep all but the very smallest particles out of the fermenter. I've used it in several beaches so far, and it has been extremely helpful!
