A versatile strain and a good choice for a "House" strain. Provides a soft, clean profile with hints of nut, and a slightly tart finish. Ferment at warmer temperatures to accentuate hop character with an increased fruitiness. Or, ferment cool for a clean, light citrus character. It attenuates well and is reliably flocculent, producing bright beer without filtration. A great option to differentiate your beer from other go-to strains. Ideal for all american styles.
Even though the yeast was bad, Midwest was amazing. I would highly recommend them
First use of liquid yeast, seemed fine but did not notice much difference from dry yeast. Was a bit concerned when it arrived as the cold pack was no longer cold. Hard to tell if the yeast was adequately smacked, but obviously it was.
