Aromas of fresh raspberries merge with the red fruit, berry and cherry from the Merlot grape. Rich and medium bodied, it explodes with luscious raspberry flavor and is perfectly balanced between ripe raspberry tartness and a luscious, off-dry finish. Robust enough for barbecue or red meat, it's drinkable on it's own--or with friends!
Wonderfully fruity, crisply refreshing and bursting with fruit, Tropical Bliss™ Raspberry Merlot is the perfect sipping wine for a summer’s day.

This is actually my third time making this kit. It’s a family favorite. The only trouble I have had with it is getting it to clear completely. But this last time I added a clearing additive and it was fine.

Raspberry Merlot Wine Kit - Master Vintner® Tropical Bliss
Its been about a month since bottling and the wine has turned out well. It is definitely sweet and easy to drink. Lacks a little body so would use a little less water next time. A great refreshing wine for picnic or campfire.
This was the most labor-intensive and time consuming wine kit I have ever used. I am used to kits where all the ingredients - other than preservatives and clarifying agents - go in at the beginning, then are left alone until the first racking. This kit called for daily stirring and specific gravity readings until said reading fell within a specified range. Only at that point was yeast nutrient to be added. I also found it odd that the raspberry flavor pouch was not added until right before bottling. Also, when I went to add this pouch, I discovered that some crystallization had taken place. It was difficult to get the full contents of the pouch into the wine. One last small problem happened during bottling. Sometimes I get a little bit of foam at the top of the bottle, but this quickly dissipates. Not so with the raspberry merlot. In some bottles, the foam never did go away completely.
