Pasteur Red yeast is a strong fermenter and produces full-bodied red wines. Particularly well suited for grapes from the Zinfandel and Cabernet families as well as Berry and Cherry Wine, Gamay, Merlot, Pinot, and Syrah.

Top quality yeast at a great price. Got a mild red wine in three days, increased in ABV each day after. Works for white wines too if you want to ferment at a cooler temperature.
Great yeast, have used it or similar yeast for years.Never have had a problem.
I have used this on fruit wines and a few odd varieties, no issues. It always attenuates well and has worked every time. I have used this with kits and some majority grape concentrate recipes, good all around yeast.
My first time to try Premier rouge with Cherry ,so far the fermentation was fast,Hydrometer finish reading. 990 with a my Potential alcohol spot on 12% my target . After one month the wine is clearing up very well. Can’t wait for a taste test.
