Golden Promise Malted Barley is a key base malt ingredient in brewing UK and American IPAs.

Used as a substitute for M.O. in historical English ales with good results. Less "grainy" than M.O., but still has slight biscuit/toast notes in a very clean-tasting wort. Color is slightly darker than your average 2-row. When using it as 100% of grain bill in an old ale it yielded a beer that had extraordinary mouthfeel yet a subdued malt character when utilizing a simple infusion mash at 155 degrees F.
I have used this regularly in a kettle soured IPA on at least 6 different fruit combinations. Results are always delicious.
Great, on time delivery!
Unique and makes for a great base malt. I used it for a pale ale and was quite happy replacing basic 2-row with it.
Simpsons Golden Promise is a great grain to use in a combination when brewing. It produces a malty yet crisp flavor profile that can make an otherwise ordinary 2 row beer have a deeper and more complex flavor. Recommend a few lbs. as an addition to a pale ales, pilsners, IPAs, and German style beer grain bills.
