These feature a 1/2" Male National Pipe Thread on the outer ends for easy connectivity to almost anything. Made from 304 stainless steel. The quick disconnect will hold pressure for brewing applications when moving liquids at 60 psi or less.

Wish I could have afforded these 20 yrs agoI no longer need to deal with hose clamps during brew! No longer stabbing myself with a small flat head screw driver. I took a couple of years to get these onto every brew connection but was well worth it. These connections work well, take heat and don't leak. These are easy to connect/ disconnect, similar to pneumatic tool connections, except the hose is always open, even when disconnected. This makes sanitizing easier. I use Mach 3 pump with these with no problems. I put one on Mark's carboy washing pump and can now pump cleaner/ sanitizer through all my equipment. Highly recommend these quick disconnect,- Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

Makes it easy to attach tubingThese are great and I can easily move tubing around. Very convenient and very expensive, oh well. I'm gradually upgrading all my connects. I brew 2-3 beers in a day when I brew and I have a lot of tubing to move around and pumps to hook up.- Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

Makes it easy to swap hoses aroundVery expensive, and also very convenient. I'm glad I have them, and glad I could afford them. It saves me aggravation on brew day, when I don't need it. They are sturdy , will last, and can handle heat - perfect for brewers.- Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

Great for Hot Side ConnectionsI use this in conjunction with the Blichmann stainless ball valve on the outlet side of my kettle. I have the plastic disconnects on all my other hoses but use the stainless type on the kettle for obvious reasons. I noticed that the mating part, the female disconnect with a 1/2" barb is not available at Midwest? I prefer having the threaded / male disconnect on the kettle outlet side because its not subjecting the part you have to put your fingers on in direct contact with the flame.- Was this review helpful? Easy plate chiller backflushI replace my Moen kitchen sink hose sprayer with this and connect it to the female quick disconnects on my Therminator for a quick and easy backflush rig. I leave the chiller in my kitchen sink and run hot water through it while I clean up the rest of my brew equipment. This is a effective alternative if you don't have a deep well sink in your house that you can hook a backflush rig to. _x000D__x000D_A little expensive but the stainless should last a lifetime.- Was this review helpful? Is the spring stainless as well? Do the male fittings seal also?Stainless Steel Male Quick Disconnect MPTBEST ANSWER: It's a ball lock connection. I haven't fully taken it apart to see if the spring is stainless but anything that comes in contact with liquids appears
To be SS.I don't fully understand what your asking but the ball bearings "snap" into place and as long as it's the right diameter and you use hose clamps when you can everything should stay sealed. I did loose a bearing in one and it still seals it's just a pain to get off, hope that helps cheers!- Reply
