11 months agopH paper not suitable for red wine testingCannot recommend this product, with red wine. I had no white to test. My red wine made the paper red and you could not read the color necessary to take a reading. It may be useful for other than red?September 29, 2017Purchased
over 2 years agoFast resultsIt;s inexpensive and gives fast results. It's not as precise as I would like but it's better than nothing. Given the price it's a reasonable investment but I'd suggest eventually getting a pH meter.January 17, 2014Got me startedEasy to use, fast results, a good step for new wine makers. If you stick with the hobby consider a pH meter instead, but its ok to start out with.October 29, 2013For a beginner its goodIts an inexpensive way for a beginner wine maker to get a sense of what the pH of their wine is. As you gain experience you may want a better pH meter, but this is ok to start with.September 1, 2013For the new wine makerThese strips will give you an idea whats going on and are a good place to start because of their price. They are roughly accurate but can be off .2 pH._x000D_If you become more advanced you will want a good pH meter and stop using these.July 19, 2013good product for the beginnerI am still a beginner with homebrewing and these strips work fine for me right now.June 28, 2013Good enough to start out withI now have a pH meter and no longer use these, but when starting out they are ok. They aren't as accurate, but they are easy to use and give fast results. It works with both reds and whites too. I think the pH maybe be off .2 based on comparing with my pH meter.June 3, 2013
