I like that they are threaded instead of a barb. Makes it easy to change out if you use commercial kegs or need to clean. Make sure you pull the collar up and press down hard when connecting. Connection should be solid and not wobbly. Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 3 answersWhat size barb do you put on this? What size for liquid...what size for gas?Ball Lock Liquid Disconnect, ThreadedBEST ANSWER: The black liquid ball lock disconnect shown has a 3/8 inch post. The barbed swivel nut (also linked to from description in Midwest Supplies online catalog) connects to it nicely with the barb being 1/4 inch. The barb fits snugly into standard beverage tubing (1/4 inch I.D., 3/4 inch, O.D.). I used the same barbed swivel nut with red gas tubing, which is 5/16 inch.
