4 months agoWorks wellThey work well in my keezerAugust 2, 2016Perfect fit.Midwest customer support assisted getting the correct disconnect. It fit perfect and worked as expected.December 28, 2015Opening are good to go!After reading a review about the possible foam problem, I decided to check all my openings. I unscrewed the top part, do it slowly, and then I inserted a 11/64 drill bit into the opening and turned it slowly. It went all the way through, assuring me that they all had the holes open all the way. Looks like it may have been a one time problem and the manufacturer corrected it. Doesn't hurt to check and it takes no time at all and you can clean to pop-it assembly at the same time.May 24, 2014A must have for keggingI recently switched over to kegging a few months back. I purchased a couple of these just to make my life easier. The quick disconnect allows for easy cleaning and exchanging of kegs. _x000D__x000D_Haven't noticed any issues with the flow of beer, if taken care of it is a 1 time purchase (like many of home brewing) that after use you realize you can't live without!December 25, 2013Makes life eazierI appreciated the threaded connections. The disconnect and cleaning is made much easier. I would take this over the barbed connection every time.December 22, 2013Great quick disconnectWorks well and is a great way to quickly and easily connect a tube to your soda keg. Just be careful not to push down too hard or the plastic base can strip off shooting the spring out. _x000D__x000D_October 26, 2013Good productI have 2 of these and they work very well. I use the threaded fitting so I can quickly switch the tubing if I want to carb my kegs using the dip tube and also attaching a pump to clean my beer lines. Good product. I'd recommend this to any brewer.August 18, 2013This is a good oneEasy hook up and easy to clean. It's worth the extra few bucks to avoid hose clamps! Product seems well built.August 16, 2013Great Product, Best Price availableAbsolutely necessary for kegging, and the best price to be found is here at Midwest._x000D__x000D_I've never had any problem with this connectors. I like the threaded ends so that I can move lines around easily and clean them easily too._x000D__x000D_When they are first used, sometimes they can get a little tricky to insert onto the keg posts. The extended part on the inside, sometimes doesn't want to retract, so you may need to loosen it up a bitAugust 3, 2013

Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 3 answersWhat size barb do you put on this? What size for liquid...what size for gas?Ball Lock Liquid Disconnect, ThreadedBEST ANSWER: The black liquid ball lock disconnect shown has a 3/8 inch post. The barbed swivel nut (also linked to from description in Midwest Supplies online catalog) connects to it nicely with the barb being 1/4 inch. The barb fits snugly into standard beverage tubing (1/4 inch I.D., 3/4 inch, O.D.). I used the same barbed swivel nut with red gas tubing, which is 5/16 inch.
