4.7 / 5.07 ReviewsGood pot for glass cooktopThis was my third try to find a pot with a perfectly flat bottom that wouldn't rattle on my glass cooktop, and it was successful. The cooktop is not an induction one, but I did test the bottom of the pot, and it is magnetic, so it would work with an induction burner. Hoping this information is useful to others. The lid is thin metal and doesn't fit very tightly, which is why I'm giving this 4 stars rather than 5. It's great having the volume markers on the inside.January 27, 2016Solid pot, well builtThis pot is both solid and very well built. I initially bought and subsequently returned a pot off of Amazon that was cheaper but the difference in quality is 100% evident.July 4, 2017Purchased
10 months agoReally Nice KettleI purchased this Kettle after brewing for 5 years with the economy kettle purchased with my original kit. I like the 8 gallon size I can do a full boil with a 5 gallon extract kit. I have also ventured into some BIAB with this kettle.March 6, 2016Great Pot for All GrainThis is a great pot for all-grain brewing - handles do not get hot, so makes the pot easy to move after the boil. Also, there are gallon markers on the inside, which is helpful to measure pre-boil and post-boil batch size. Great product!June 4, 2015Big Kettle Brew PotThis has worked well for the first brew. The marked lines inside the brew pot make for an easy start without time consuming measuring. The heat resistant covered handles make for easy handling during lifting after the brew. All in all am happy with the purchase.June 5, 2015Excellent kettleI wish they made nice pots like this when I first started home brewing.January 25, 2016MegaPotI've used this pot one time so far and plan to cook another batch of beer next week, so it's relatively new to me. It is made with excellent quality and is everything as advertised. I bought this large vessel because I am new to brewing and had read about boil overs being messy. This pot is so large I never came close to any problem like that.
The issues I experience were with the the, perature reading. My 12" thermometer probe seemed lost way down in the steaming brew making it hard to read the wort chill temp. Also, dangling the mesh bag with hops wasn't easy so I just threw the bag into the boiling mass. It all worked out in the end and my beer is fermenting nicely.
This pot is really great, and I'm learning how to use it's size to my best advantageMarch 3, 2018Purchased
