Just bottled this one. It had a nice taste at bottling and had a hint of oak and vanilla. I think it will be great with a little aging and we'll be enjoying it on the patio this summer.
The $79 and $130 are always tasty (well, when i make it anyway)
I have made many different red and white wines. I like the Cru Select because the instructions are the easiest to follow and the wine good. It doesn't require me to keep opening the primary fermenter to check the SG which reduces oxygen exposure. I have never had a bad batch.
This was my first attempt at a white wine (been doing reds for years). We have recently been getting into whites and decided to give this one a try. We are SO glad we did! Darker color, no too dry with only a hint of sweet, light citrus notes with buttery hints and a smooth slightly oaky finish. I did use the American Oak infusion spirals during fermentation to give it a little more color and oak notes. We are so happy with it, we are getting another batch as the first one is half gone already!
Had this kit in the past and the wife loved it. We ordered it and received it quickly with no hassles.
