Considered a 'feminine' grape by the French, this Pinot Noir is restrained and elegant. Bright ruby with garnet highlights, medium bodied and supple, the wine hints at herbal notes, with a palate of cherries, red berry flavours, raspberries and a hint of oak and velvety tannins. The mouth feel gives a long, subtly smooth finish.
Vibrant and food friendly, this wine is excellent with light creamy sauces, goat cheese, roast chicken or duck or mushroom risotto.

I have now made two batches of the California Pinot Noir with plans to make a third. Each batch seems to be better than the first one. Very deep color and great flavor.
I didn't put all of rhe water that was suggested(less about a liter and a half). This change gave the wine a rich, fuller body taste immediately. Normally it takes my wines a month or two to start tasting good, but this tweet made this juice taste remarkable!
California Pinot Noir Wine Kit - RJS Cru Select
kit didn’t ferment, i contacted Midwest with no response
I took the grape juice from this kit and put it through my regular process for fermentation (rather than per the instructions) and then put it on American Oak chips for 6 months and then French oak chips for another six months and it tastes great! Better than some wines I have made from real grapes!
