I had forgotten about the wonderful bags of grapes and oak in this kit! I have always loved this wine! It is easy to make! The hard part is waiting 8 weeks! We will be buying this again!
Excellent Wine ! Full Body !!! Long Legs !! Pleasant Finish !!!
One of the best tasting wine I have made!
Made this wine, followed the instructions but, I added 2 oak spirals during second fermentation. Prior to bottling, tasted, then added 1 ounce vanilla extract and 10 ounces of wine conditioner. Waited an additional 2 weeks, tasted and man oh man, the wine is fantastic and it’s only been 6 months. Going into bottles now. The kit was shipped fast and in perfect condition.
I'm a little biased because this is my favorite varietal, however the En Primeur Carmenere is absolutely fantastic. We bottled yesterday, and even at that stage is was smooth and flavorful. It's going to be even better after a couple months. I am excited to see this become more readily available, as it was typically only available every few years. In my opinion, there is a huge difference between the En Primeur and the lesser quality kits (International and Select). Highly recommend investing in the highest quality for that purpose.
