Product Details

An ale version of the light, fizzy American lager style, cream ale is a specialty of the eastern US. Our Cream Ale is medium-light bodied and smooth, gold in color and low in bitterness; the specialty grain blend adds some complexity with a clean, sweet malt profile and a hint of buttered toast in the aroma and flavor. A homebrewed "lawnmower beer" is pretty hard to beat as a summertime thirst-quencher.

If you enjoyed Liberty Cream Ale or California Steam, you'll love this kit!

Cream Ale

I love making a brew. I've made this brew before and it was a hit. I'm looking forward to tipping a glass of this Cream Ale as soon as it is ready. Can't wait.

Clean and Refreshing

Added 1 lb flaked rice to steep of cream ale blend grains included in kit. Started ale yeast one day ahead. Added 1 oz hallataur hops to end of boil along with Irish moss for clarity. Starting Sp Gr – 1.055. Good fermentation for 3-4 days and then reduced. On 5th day, Sp Gr was 1.014. Bottled on 7th day and after 2 weeks good carbonation and clean taste

Great Summer Ale

Easy to produce this pale, crisp and clean ale for the summer. Ferments quickly with a yeast starter and S05 yeast. After 20 days I was able to transfer this from a second stage to a keg and then condition for forced carbonation. Very easy to brew and not a complicated kit with which to work your brewing magic. This is a nice change from the Black Irish Stout I made..

I have had this before and have liked it and my wife will drink it. I tend to be a little more adventurous than she is.
