Product Details

Pouring a pint of this beastly ale will overcome your senses with intense hop character. Dominant notes of citrus, stone fruits, and floral character relentlessly invade your nostrils while the soft malt backbone and slight honey flavor mingle in the background and round out the palate. Hop Slam’s deep golden hue produces a firm, billowy, off-white foam head which serves as the vehicle for releasing the uncanny aroma produced by a colossal dry-hop addition. Be sure to maintain vigilance while enjoying this powerful brew - Hop Slam’s 10% ABV and huge hop character can easily render you witless.

Ingredients include:

  • Specialty steeping grains
  • 6 lbs. gold liquid malt extract
  • 4 lb gold dry malt extract
  • 2 ounce Centennial hops
  • 1 ounce Glacier hops
  • 1 ounce Vanguard hops
  • 4 ounces Amarillo hops
  • 3 ounces Simcoe hops
  • 1 lbs Clover honey
  • Priming sugar
  • Muslin bag

If you enjoyed Hopwham Double IPA, you'll love this kit!

Great Recipe!

I have made this particular recipe three times now—this is one of the best Imperial IPAs I have ever tried.

Wonderful extract DIPA

Hopped to the moon and malty to boot. This is a fantastic DIPA or imperial kit. Not only are the results great, but brewing it is fun, especially for those fairly new to homebrewing due to the many additions that it requires. I prefer to keg my beer, this one especially due to the large dry hop additions, but it still comes out fantastic in the bottle, and with the right amount of aging this has yielded at least three competition medals.
