This yeast ferments extremely well in dark roast worts. Beers fermented in the lower temperature range produce dry and crisp beers to fruity beers with a nice compexity in the upper range. Ester production is enhanced with fermentation temperatures above 64F (18 C). Flocculation is low to moderate with filtration typically required.

Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale Yeast
It got to work quick and finished strong. Moved the Baltic porter from OG of 1.082 to 1.037 in 48 hours at 68-70F and then pushed on to 1.027 by day 7. After another week and a cold crash it finished at FG 1.026, not bad on a 52 SRM beer with the base being Munich Dark (50%) and more than 34% of specialty grains. 68% apparent attenuation for this yeast in this batch. Will be sampling it in about 2 weeks, 5 weeks post brew.
Kicked off like a rocket! Can't wait for the Imperial Stout to come out of the barrel....can you make a few months speed by faster?!!!!
Had problems breaking "nutrient pack" inside the package after smacking it numerous times. So I just opened the package with sanitized scissors and cut open the nutrient pack and dumped it into the yeast and pitched at 67* about 14 hours later had plenty activity in air bubbler on fermenter.
