Irish Moss is a seaweed derived fining agent used by many brewers to help make a clear beer without the need for a filter, and to prevent chill haze. Irish Moss accelerates protein coagulation during the end of the boil which helps prevent chill haze. Many of our brewers use this product in every batch. Use 1 teaspoon per 5 gallon batch, and it is added with 15 minutes remaining in the boil.

I was skeptical about using this at first so I did what any skeptic would do. I bought two of the same kit and did one with and one without. I added this during the last 15 minutes of my boil and within 72 hours in my primary fermentation the difference was highly noticeable. The beer was not near as cloudy as the no addition batch. A side by side comparison was night and day difference. Even in secondary the one with the addition had a significant amount of less haze and the gold color of the honey wheat beer was showing bright as can be.
It didn't come in a bottle, but in a bag but either way I don't mind and will never go without this addition ever again. Even my dad was surprised at how clear the beer was on comparison. The flavor comparison was unfazed by the addition too.
It came in a plastic bag not a bottle, but I don't care.
Irish moss is great for reducing chill haze in your finished beer keeps it nice and clear
I love to use irish moss. My last beer batches are cleaner than my first batch when I didn’t know about irish moss.
