Italy's biggest red, this wine is a true blockbuster, with the grapes soaking up all of the intense sunshine and power of the soil and giving it back in a dense, ripe, full-bodied wine. The bouquet is darkly spicy, with dried black cherry, dark chocolate, licorice, tobacco and cassis notes and flavors of dried fruit, fig, raisin, tart cherry and coffee carry through to a profoundly tannic finish that grips the palate and lasts long after every sip.
Robust enough for the richest dishes, this wine is brilliant with grilled porterhouse, osso buco or dry, sharp cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino Romano.

I made this style about 1 1/2 years ago and just tasted the first bottle. Excellent full bodied wine. So I just bought another to age while drinking the first batch
All of my friends love this wine. Turns out smooth and very drinkable.
Great aroma and taste….
This is third red kit, we chose lightest oak chips, waited 6 months after bottling and it is really good. We would liken it to a $15-20 bottle!
