When used as a flavor and aroma addition (1 oz each), this hop contributes some light earthy and spice notes... which are almost entirely drowned out by the strong onion/garlic notes. In my two experiences, this has been "the onion hop."_x000D__x000D_This may be desirable for your style, and perhaps--like peated malt--this is an ingredient to be used in moderation. Just know what you're getting into, because I was unpleasantly surprised at the strength
This super hops has great bittering properties as well as great aroma if add late in the boil. A cross breed between Nugget, and citrus flavored hops with a super ALPHA content of 6:1 alpha-to-beta acid ratio.
Works great in Imperial IPA's, IPA's and Pale Ales, Great bitterness, and goes well with hops like Cascade, Willamette, Citra.
This is my favorite hop! I love bitter beer and the Summit hops add enough bitterness to satisfy my cravings.
