I have doing this for a while and it takes some time to find an outlet that supplies you with the best and newest ingredients at a decent price. I can buy Yeast Nutrient cheaper, but not the kind of quality I get at MidwestSupply.
Worked great ...no problems
I have not tried other supplements, but I rather like Carlson Yeast Nutrient. It was loads cheaper to get the large bag and simply refill my bottle. I keep the reserve amount in my fridge. Toss in a tsp per gallon of homebrew, 15 minutes before the end of the boil and don't forget to aerate - I usually see activity in 12-18 hours.
Used as directed. Seems to be helping my mead along nicely.
not quite sure if I used it correctly, does not seem to do anything.
