Imperial Yeast A24 Dry Hop

I purchased two packages of Imperial Dry Hop yeast because the packages were significantly aged - Midwest Supplies priced them at 50% - and with both packages enhanced by a 24-hour stir plate 1 L starter (Fast Pitch), the yeast finished my IPA in about 10 days. The hop flavors and aroma do not appear much different from my previous experience using Imperial Juice on this recipe - but the overall flavor of the beer is very nice.

Great performing yeast. I used this yeast to brew the Alchemists Focal Banger American IPA clone. I used a 1000 mL starter and it started fermenting very quickly. It gave off a great berry smell while fermenting, which should go nicely with the citrus hops I’m using for dry hopping. Excited to try this beer!
