Sierra Madre

Overall, I'm happy with my last purchase. I've really come to like the Sierra Madre. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because the order was over a week late and I had timed the order with a week off which I planned to brew several batches. I understand Midwest handles a lot of orders since they switched to 100% online, but I miss the convenience of being able to stop by the store, get advice form the people working there and picking up my supplies so I could brew on my timeline.
It would be nice to have a will call for people in the MSP area.

One of my best brews to date!

This came out really well. Very drinkable and perhaps my best brew according to friends. I used an East Coast Ale yeast from White Labs (after trying some example brews that used that yeast while visiting their place in Asheville) and the results were fantastic!

Classic pale ale

Not a big pale ale person but really like this beer. Slight bitterness, tastes yummy, and smells awesome.

Good Clone

Turned out pretty darn close to the real deal. Overall very pleased.

Good gateway beer for novice home brew drinkers

It is a good beer, mild in flavor like a Sierra Nevada I guess. My neighbors that don’t go for IPAs like it a lot, when they are mostly used to more mainstream beers. It is a good gateway beer for them as they develop their taste for better beers, I think.
