Product Details

A jet-black ale with a roasted-malt character that's offset by residual sweetness and full body - think of sweetened black coffee. De-bittered black and chocolate malts yield a pronounced - but not harsh - roast grain quality, while lactose (an unfermentable milk-based sugar) yields a rich sweetness and creamy mouthfeel. Very nice as an after-dinner drink instead of coffee, or with chocolate desserts.

If you enjoyed Cream Stout or Watknee's Cream Stout (Watney's), you'll love this kit!

Best I've had

Wife lives it too.

I brew a stout either every other or every third batch. I switched over to the sweet stout about a year ago. It is a very drinkable stout.

I started buying home brew supplies from Midwest in about 1993. I have always enjoyed great service and products. Thank you for being a great supporter of home brewing and reliable supplier of home brew supplies.

Best Brew Ever

The cream sweet stout was the best batch of brew I’ve ever made. I usually brew up one or two 5-gallon kits a year, always a stout, either from Midwest or a local supply. It was sweet, malty, creamy without the overpowering bitterness of hops (which I dislike). I called this batch “Quarantine Cream.” (100% Corona free! Haha.)

Excellent extract!

I usually brew all-grain but, because of time restraints, I tried this extract kit. I was very happy with the outcome, and may have changed my mind about extract brewing.

Best beer I ever brewed.

This kit is low cost but by far the best I ever had. I added 3 lbs of wheat malt to the boil and use Malto Dextrin with the priming sugar. Both ad to a good head and good retention. Plus ad extra body and mouthfeel. I also add some loran Praline and butterscotch flavoring. But the malts and grains in this kit are amazing. SMOOTH, not ONE bit bitter, creamy. Mildly sweet and loaded with flavor. WILL be ordering more! Just LOVE this kit ! ( I used liquid Omega British ale yeast in a can of fast start)
