Warminster Floor Malted Maris Otter Malt

Excellent malt

Best base malt for my English Ales! Consistent crush and flavor.

This has worked out great as a base for an oatmeal stout and English dark mild. Very flavorful. But the malt has a lot of debris. I realize malt is an agricultural product, but culling out a fistful of stems from 15 lbs. of grain is a bit much. I'm talking pieces 1 - 1.5" in length. They need to pass that grain through screens. I've never seen anywhere near this much debris in Crisp or Fawcett MO.

I brew English Browns, southern style, less bitter, sweeter and a bit higher on the ABV than the norm, around 6% to 7%.This has become my number 1 base malt in three of my most brewed ales!Consistent in taste and performance in all 5 batches I used it in.I'm going to try some in a sweet stout recipe next, I recommend this grain to anyone who likes English Browns Ales!
