This is my second fastfermenter and I am very pleased with them. Very hassle free.
Less work. I liked so well I bought second one. Also bought floor stand so I can use it in different locations.
I like it ... except for the screw on lid. Really needs some work on the threads. Lid and Conical. Also, threads at bottom, where valve screws on needs about 10 wraps of teflon tape to prevent leaks. Excessive. Guys. Fix the threads and you will have a great product for a good price.
I bought one of these when I first started brewing about a year and a half ago. I built my own stand for it because the one they sell looks cheap. I've never had any problems with leaks like the other reviews, I don't see how it can leak if you use the right amount of silicone tape and screw it together right. After 8 uses I did have the cone get clogged and the trub wouldn't drop into the ball once. Partly my fault because I let it set a day or so longer. The valve is very generic and seems flimsy. It's pretty cheap so I think I'll buy a new one every 6 months or so. I like not having to transfer to another container for bottling. It's also easy to clean. Works for me.
I'm new to brewing and I love this fermenter. I'm a mechanic and follow the KISS rule, so does the fastferment. Follow the setup instructions and it's foolproof, easy to use and clean, and actually looks very cool. I will probably get a second one to allow a steady flow of different brews for my family and friends.
