Good Merlot
I made this wine last July. After fermenting and racking through into a carboy I gave it some time in an oak barrel. I sampled it nine months later and it's turned into a fantastic wine. I just racked put the second batch into the fermentor. A gallon per can is perfect.

Good quality base
I made an experimental 2 gallon batch, aged it a year and it was very good. This time I made a full scale 5 gallon batch that I plan on aging 18 months. You don't need kits if you use quality concentrates and adjust the acidity and tannins.

targeted flavor
The Alexanders concentrates are above par. I can get the specific flavor I want to target in my wine. One can makes a quality one gallon Merlot. This quality concentrate benefits form aging and I let it go 15-18 months before tasting.

A great Merlot
I used this merlot concentrate to make 5 gallons of wine. i used 3 cans ,fermented it ,racked it 3 times. I let it develop for a year and it came out great. Hase a great flavor, smooth taste, deep, dark, red color and has been getting exlent reviews. My second bath is 3 mounths into ageing and will start another in 3 mounths.Wish i hadn't waited a year to start second bath.

great stuff done right
I like this best as a one gallon batch, at one gallon the acidity is exactly what the acidity in the wine kits are about .34, with my little test kit...with yeast 212,my one batch tasted just like wine experts and it works good several of the other yeasts, it fun to mix some with the cabernet

A good value for the money
This juice produces a fine Merlot if it's fermented and bottled with care. My suggestion is to ferment it with oak chips.

Really good wine
I've made a Merlot in the past with this was happy with it. This time I added medium toasted french oak cubes. It made a nice , dry, oaky, flavorful Merlot. Both times I aged it 12 months, which is needed to get the best taste.

Expensive but worth it
Adding it to a Merlot kit will greatly improve the wine, making it thicker and full of flavor. One can for a 6 gallon kit is all that's needed.
